Trades claim example
Ralph lays plumbing works for domestic homes in the course of construction.
At completion, an unexplained leak causes extensive damage to installed cabinetry and carpets, and is traced back to an incorrect fitting Ralph installed.
All the resulting costs to the carpets and cabinetry as well as the exploratory costs and any other claims against Ralph for his fault are covered by his general liability cover. The only thing Ralph is out of pocket for is his excess, and the cost of redoing his original faulty work (e.g. the incorrect fitting).
