Local flood experience, in proportion
When the Burnett flooded in March 2026, council figures put roughly 240 homes and 120 businesses directly impacted. It was not a catastrophe on the scale of 2013, and we will not dress it up as one. What it did do is remind a lot of local owners that flood is one of the covers most likely to be quietly missing from a commercial policy, and that the question is worth asking before the water arrives rather than after.
